As far as I know the motherboard doesn't support GDDR5, only GDDR3.
The new cards use GDDR5, so I'm guessing that I need to get a new motherboard, just wanted to confirm really. Also, if you have any reccomendations on a new motherboard for me.

CPU: Intel i7 4770k @ 3.5 Ghz
GPU: Zotac GeForce GTX 670 4GB Version
RAM: 8GB DDR3

Solution
The motherboard doesn't support GDDR3, it supports DDR3, which is a type of SYSTEM RAM. The new cards use GDDR5 (or GDDR5X) which is a type of VRAM (VIDEO RAM) ON THE ACTUAL CARD. The motherboard has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. As long as you have a PCIe x16 slot (which you do) you can plug in literally any card you want.
