AMD FX 8350 Throttling back with hyper 212 cooler

Solution

ok what your gonna need if your using the stock crappy paste with that 212 cooler you should get some mx4 that alone will make temps more stable the crap that comes the cooler goes like cheap rubber or cooks and its just bad lol.

remove power cable hold power button down then proceeed to next step
remove cpu cooler and then get the below hardware in

and buy 2 Thermaltake Luna 14 140mm 2 the roof of your case re facing these so they push air out of the case so they should be facing the same way as your rear case fan reasons 1 not...

What clock is it on, if you have overclocked it, turn it down and use"AIDA64" to stress test it for a few hours, and see if it is stable at the clock speed. If you havn't overclocked it, I would try to reinstall or update your drives using the manufactures site.

The problem with using an EVO 212 is it provides no cooling for the VRMs unlike a stock cooler. If you are using a board with small VRMs (4+1) that compounds the problem. When they overheat they throttle your processor.

What motherboard do you have? Also what case and how many fans?

The solution tot his will likely be more fans/cooling.

If overclocked reduce clock. Rogue Leader makes a good point. The other thing you might want to watch out for is "Energy saving" software. I had an older Asus mobo one time that would downclock my CPU mid game because it's eco feature would kick in. Make sure you don't have anything like that running.

i had this issue with the 8120 at stock settings i got better fans for the cooler also whats your pc case power supply

how many overall fans in your case and did you use that junk paste that came with the coolermaster as its horse crap paste get some mx4 youll see a 5c drop

Hi sorry for late reply everyone,
Case: Zalman Z9 plus, this case has 3 fans into it
Mobo: Asrock 970 pro3
But will an extra fan to my cooler cool my cpu more? maybe that will resolve the problem

take the existing top fan off put that to the front of your case ( saving money tactic) this will kick more air into case as well as a added bonus

next clean of the paste of your cooler and chip

clean it of with isopropyl alcohol 99 percent and cotton tips the cooler and the cpu need to be cleaned till looking like new use a small cemaric bowl for iso use a new cotton swab and do not re dip cotton swabs that are dirty into it/ or you will have to empty your fluid out and use that bowl only for pc work in future ( wouldnt recomend using it again eating out of again)

dry with a coffee filter or anti static cloth lint free

use the new mx4 paste you will need 2 pea size drops for the cpu this stuff is thick and use cheap gift card ( make sure its clean best to clean it before use.) and spread the paste with it without lifting up your hand so you have a nice grey layer over your processor no metal should show attach the cooler back on tight and snug the fan path should be facing the rear of your cooler then take a cotton swab dry and go round the socket and around the cooler to pick up any excess paste thats been squeezed out also makes a airtight seal and replace old fan with this
