So I recently changed my PC case, added a ssd and changed my PSU from a corsair VS550 to a corsair RM650X.

The rest of my specs:
CPU : i7 4790
GFX: GTX 970 G1
RAM: 8 GB ddr3 1600 mhz
OS: Win 10 64 bit

Since I've done this I seem to have a weird problem. When I turn my PC off and turn it on the next morning it starts up but the screen reamains black as if the PC were still turned off. The PC is actually on and it won't turn off if I hold the power button for 10 seconds so I have to turn the PSU off and on again. After I do that and try to turn the PC on again it works with no problems. This only happens if my PC is turned off for longer periods of time. For example if my PC works and I turn it off and after a minute on again it will boot up normally.
What can cause such an issue?
Please help...
Everything is tightly secured(the cables I mean)

Solution
If it's a regular PCI card, try plugging into a different port. If it still has an issue, it's the board. If it does not have an issue, it's that one PCI slot.

This is the new power supply, it doesn't sound like its production ready. I would take it back or use your older one if you still have it.

Just checking the basics.. everything is firmly plugged in, riser screws on the board, etc?

I turned the switch on the supply itself from 1 to 0,of course after I turned my PC off.

Yes,after I turned the PC on the next time and the power supply at the same time it booted up perfectly, but if I only turn the PC off (without turning the switch on the supply too) the next time I boot up the PC (after 8 hours for example) the PC will start but the screen remains black as if the PC were turned off.

Okay, so I think I know what the issue is here. This is a common problem for power supplies that do not function correctly. Your PC is having this issue because the power supply is not operating normally. If it's relatively new, I would RMA it and get a new one.

I would suggest it's the motherboard or something else, but I have a hunch its the PSU.

What can happen if I just use it like this?

I once had the same issue, o be it with an old PC. I turn it on, everything spins up, but a blank screen. What (usually)helped me was to unplug the PC, press the power button a few times, and then plug it back in, and then it works. I don't know how, nor why(could be something with voltage) that happens, but...works for me! However, doesn't really mean it will help you.

What could happen varies off a lot of things. It could work perfectly for weeks on end and then just one day burn out. Or, if the GPU has a physical problem and you have a power surge, it could fry the board and everything in it. It's very hard to tell what could happen if you use it as is. But as an IT veteran, I highly recommend not.
