Hello first of all i want to apologize if i posted this in the wrong section

I am planning on getting a new graphics card probably the gtx 1080 but i am worried about the bottlenecking
I have i5 3570k currently without overclocking but i can overclock it if I need to
8gb ram not sure what bandwidth
Msi Gtx 770 2gb
I want a solid 60 fps with everything maxed out on 1080p.
Should i upgrade my cpu and get a lower graphics or get the 1080?

Solution
You are actually a bit in balance right now so tough to say, it would depend on the game. The 1070 will be faster than the 770, so maybe a step up in CPU and the 1070 instead of the 1080.

I've got the same cpu and I'm gonna be running a 1070 and triple 1080p screens. The cpu overclocked will do just fine and shouldn't bottleneck the 1070, I don't imagine it would bottleneck the 1080 but im unsure.

I am planning on SLI 1080 on a i5 3570k at 4.2 on triple 1440p monitors.

I am not sure at them moment if I want to spend a shed load of cash on a Skylake or Broadwell-e set up for gaming and office work unless I have to in order to run the above sensibly.

By the looks of it a single 1080 would do you fine for triple 1440p. If you are doing dual 1080's I would be looking at a triple 2k screen setup.
