I've overclocked my i5 4670K to 4.0GHz and I've noticed, according to RealTemp, whilst playing GTAV, that it's reached around 79/80 degrees! For the most part it sits around 60+ degrees, but it randomly spikes to the 70s according to the maximum temperatures reached. Just a bit concerned.

FYI: I have switched off SpeedStep as this gives me better performance in GTAV, so this will probably be why, and the PC did randomly reset the other day whilst playing it.

Yeah, that seems too warm for the 212 EVO @ 4GHz. I have an EVO on my FX-8350 @ 4.7 GHz and no where near those temps. And the 8350 is a much hotter running chip.

I'd check the mounting of the cooler. The 212 EVO can be tricky the first time you do it. Are the 4 screws turned all the way in til they bottomed out?

And if you've had to re-position the cooler after once compressing the TIM, you may have introduced microscopic air bubbles into the TIM that will retard heat transfer.

I think it was my PSU at the time; it was starting to pack up. That random reset in GTAV was the first crash I had relating to it. Though I will recheck the temperatures again the next time I play it.
