O.K. I get it. Don't buy a TESLA card for graphics/gaming! Thanks.. I didn't. One just fell in my lap. Having just received the mobo and CPU She's finally ready for assembly; or is she? There are alot of discussions and arguments but no definitive answers. No one seems to even want to outright ask the question(well four or five years ago) will the TESLA work as a video card? I have the c2090 w/ video output. It's what I got I'm poor. Each piece of my computer was acquired over a long period of time. And I payed for none of it. I worked for some, I begged for some, and sold my so....ny PlayStation for the rest.(what? ..oh^ I know what you were thinking. Pppsshh.. I'm not that cheap. I am cheap though.) So it's down to this; Will the NviDia-Tesla work as a graphics card? There it's out now you can release the hounds to tear into my flesh. As long as an answer is derived in the process. I can't afford anything else(I do take donations though. Tax write-off anyone?) Anyway I doubt anyone's dying to be rid of something that would..? No. Should?.. Nah eh, Could, maybe, be compareable.. Doesn't read right but I'm getting tired. So, going with it. So am I finally done? Can I put it together? Will it work? The spec is latest gen not the most expensive, Yet not cheap by any means.( unless your rich..*Wealthy, cash laden, i. e. Have the cash to take a break from your TV show to run for President kind of rich.) (Don't hate) I just wanna finally have something new, bright and shiny. Something I built and can be proud of and productive with. Yes I will be playing my video games on it. That's what sparked my whole interest in computer science and I owe alot to them. This will be the first time they will be run on something that wasn't outdated before the programs were in alpha. It will be so beautiful. Anyway any help anyone can give on how I would accomplish this I would appreciate. The possibility it's not possible is growing in probability with each forum I unremarkably plea.

The Tesla is a GPU "Accelerator" mostly used for super- and hypercomputing, so if you have onboard intel or nvidia graphics it'll speed that up. From what I've seen there's none that actually have an output on them.
I'd be willing to part with an old but still stable nvidia 560ti GPU if you want. You could use the Tesla then too. :p
Which Tesla exactly did you end up with?

I gave up trying to read that, structure your posts a little better, trying to read a block of text is never fun, the enter key was made for a reason.

To the topic at hand (as far as I read). You could possibly make it work as a basic display adapter, though this really would serve no purpose.
Teslas generally arent made to display anything in the first place, so drivers to accomplish said task are likely nonexistent.

This link was supplied by Starcruiser and is the definitive answer to my specific problem.
An all around answer is Yes, No, and maybe.
Because it depends of course on the specific card or device and what it was built designed and intended for. Yet it is not limited by that.
There are alot of people out there (lije me) who just can't accept no for an answer. Not when an explanation is either withheld or lacking in its justification. And when it can be done find a way to do it. Even the cards made specifically as Compute accelerslators people have come up with ways to make use of them after they've been discarded either by new technology or just their job is finished. From unique drivers both written from scratch and modified from existing examples to using the SLI features of other cards ito use the accelerator to greatly(from what I've read) boost their performance and capability.
I just happen to be very lucky and didn't quite know it until I got some help from all of you . thanks........especially to you Starcruiser.

just to let you know that articular is COMPLETELY false tec power-up is terrible for info on cards like this. they will say its great for gaming on cards that are not live have no display or any ablity to run a game.

I won't argue with you on BS articles to sell a product. Truth is most sites like that get a cickback especially if you make a purchase using their links.
Although on this one it happened to be correct. The specs were verified on a page by Nvidia(I'll have to find it on my laptop but I'll update) The card itself has a Video out connection, and active cooling. It's housing is also the same as nVidias reference models. And it's also up and running in as a single card GPU in my new,(and first), computer built by me.
Now as to the articles claim of it being a "Professional" graphics card on its release. I cannot verify that. Yet the difference between the m2050-70/75 and the c2050-2070/75 are obvious in appearance if nothing else from the outset, (the reference housing, active cooling, and the built in Video output standing out) the c-series looking vastly more like nVidias Gamer oriented line if GPU cards. While the m- series taking on the appearance of my mental picture of what a Compute accelerator would/should look like, ( a metal brick with stylishly rounded corners ) and given they were designed and built with only the PCI X16 2.0 interface and no video output. They were obviously not Intended specifically for graphics processing. Although some people took it upon themselves(ref previous articles in this sites forums) to actually write drivers to allow the m-series to work in tandem with another graphics card to boost its performance, reportedly to significant benefit and expanded capability I.e. being able to play games that didn't support their graphics card. I'm guessing the SLI feature of nvideas graphics card line was used. But I'm not an expert and cannot confirm that.
I have the c2090 Nvidea-Tesla "(?)card" which besides the posted article I can only document was produced at one time with the c2050-2070/75 line. No other information on the c2090 itself given by any source to claim to have expertise enough to publish information on it. Has come up in my search so far.
I admit I haven't been as actively seeking further information as I once was. Yet I have paid special attention to anything I run across dealing with this topic as a whole. I'll update if I personally find information from anyone else willing to be torn apart for calling themselves an expert and publishing information on this subject specifically.
Once again thank you for your input and help. It's always appreciated.
