Not sure why this is happening but my computer tends to restart itself when im watching videos online via youtube/netflix/twitch. I have updated all my drivers and when i enter event viewer i get event id 6008 "The previous system shutdown at 7:05:51 PM on ?5/?11/?2016 was unexpected." does anyone know what could be causing my computer to restart? it is a new build about 2 weeks old.

CPU: i7 6700k
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS MAXIMUS VIII HERO
GPU: MSI R9 390
Cooler: CORSAIR H115i
Memory: Gskillz trident z 3000mhz
PSU: Corsair RM850i
SSD : SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB
OS: WINDOWS 10 PRO 64-BIT

None of the hardware is overclocked right now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you install motherboard drivers off DVD or let windows find them? Go here and see if anything new: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/MAXIMUS-VIII-HERO/HelpDesk_Download/

See if you have latest bios

windows has two errors that always show up after a restart. Neither tell you anything you didn't know already

so updated the bios and thought it was all good because i had no restarts but then when my computer was just idle on the desktop it restarted again. could this be a problem with motherboard or cpu?

Thanks
