So i was just using our family desktop using office, browsing the web, then, a large click kinda noise emitted from the case broke out. Then it shut down and rebooted, but before i could log into my user, the PC shut down again but this time i can't turn it on.

I pressed the power switch several times but it won't turn on. This happened before but the reason previously was overheating which was fixed by changing the Unit's location.

Please tell me whatever solution or problem this might be. My parents don't know and I'm itching if i might have lost a lot of data including pictures which will destroy.

I don't know much of the specs and all i know is the CPU which is a Core 2 Duo E7400.

Solution
ur hdd/ssd shd be gud...thrs no explicit reason for them to be broke...
maybe u didnt do the test properly...

I did a paperclip test but............. When i turned it on, the PSU exploded! Now my parents are concerned wheter or not everything has to be replaced and if it shorts out.

The most valuable thing i need to know is, will my HDD and SSD be fine? Cause if it ain't, I'm gonna get killed by parents.
