I have an HDTV that I want to turn into a Smart TV/Computer. I've tried the Apple TV, Amazon TV and ROKU but I wasn't satisfied with any of them. The experience that I love is when I hook up my laptop to my TV so I decided I want a Intel NUC or Intel Compute Stick. I'm not sure which would be more responsive. What would you guys recommend?

Guys,

I strongly suggest the Intel NUC with Core i5 5300CPU, with 8GB - Mine was $225 used.
Added Samsung 850 EVO 240GB M.2 SSD (w/6GB interface) $90
Added WD Blue 5400rpm 1TB HDD with 64GB cache for another $80.
Bluetooth mouse and Keyboard for another $75
Total for this PLEX Media Center Monster $470. $395 if you do not include the Kbd and Mouse
And this is a monster. Boots fast, runs PLEX for Windows, Uses SSD for cache, and 1TB for Content streaming.
But it is a very tiny monster - I used the included base to attach it to the wall next to a swing-arm 23" monitor.
