Hello guys, when I first build my PC about 1,5 year ago my Mother Board had the Dual Bios feature. My main BIOS for some reason had stop working after the first few days (not relevant to this thread), and since then I am using the secondary/backup BIOS of my MB. Everything seems fine, but I just wanted to ask.

Are there any disadvantages in permanently using the Secondary BIOS instead of the Main BIOS? Is the Main BIOS at any way better than the Secondary BIOS?

(If it matters, my Mother Board is the MSI Z97 Gaming 7, and my CPU the i7-4790k.)

If you f@ck up first BIOS, you can fall back to secondary BIOS.
But if you f@ck up secondary BIOS also, your motherboard is bricked and you can't get it back to life without help of specialized computer repair services.
They are obviously not the same or else they would both work/or not work.

Read motherboard manual, how to fix primary motherboard BIOS.

Hello SkyNet,
Thank you for your response! Although secondary BIOS are meant for backup purposes, and although me being lazy to fix the issue on my main BIOS, do you know if secondary BIOS are in any way inferior to the main BIOS? or are they the exact same thing, as Unskol commented above?
