I recently replaced my (assumed to be bricked) motherboard with the 990FX I got off of ebay. Upon booting the system I was greeted with the CPU_LED a solid red colour. Also when I press the MEMOK button the DRAM_LED would flash red until I rebooted the system.
I am also getting no video signal from my monitor.

Has anyone come across this problem before?

System specs:
CPU: AMD FX8350
COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper 212 evo
MOBO: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX r2.0
GPU: Gigabyte r9 270x
PSU: SeaSonic 520W 80+ Bronze
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600mhz

Solution
ASUS tech support doesn't even help you, they just keep pushing you for an RMA. BUT THE REAL PROBLEM FOR ALL IS the 3 pin connector for the cpu . That's the culprit, You need to NEVER connect to the cpu power 3 pin female connector to the mobo 3 pin cpu fan male connector . You have to use the 3 pin female connector from the CPU on the 4 pin male connector just to the right of it on the MOBO called the cpu fan optional, it is a 4 pin male, but you use the 3 pin female cpu connector there and the embedded slot that places it in the right direction IS USED leaving 1 pin unused> so spread the word...the 3 pin male connector on the sabertooth FX990 is useless.

Have done this many time already, sorry for not stating that.

My CPU is still in warranty so if it turns out to be at fault, hopefully getting a replacement CPU from AMD shouldn't be too much hassle.

if ur cpu was working with the old mobo but not the new one...chances are tht d mobo is faulty...not the cpu...
i wud suggest u consider rma the mobo first, rather than the cpu...
also refresh the cmos and jumper and test one last time bfore u do tht...just to be sure...

I'm currently waiting on new RAM to arrive from Amazon, if that manages to solve my problem all should be good. If not I'll rma the mobo immediately. Not sure if this is a common problem with this board, if so could you recommend any other good am3+ socket boards for a similar price?
