will i7 work on my mobo

The i7 will run at whatever speed it is set at. but you cannot Overclock at all on that board. you could get a 3770 which gets up 3.9 GHz.

i7-3770 is the highest you should go, as that is not an overclocking MB.
Also forget about Win 7 and upgrade to Win 10 while the offer still lasts.(you can do a fresh win 10 install with your win 7 key, witch would be best)
