Can I tell Windows 10 not to delete my windows.old file?

I don't think 30 days is enough for me to get used to Windows 10, so is there a way for me to make sure my windows.old file is not deleted?

No reason you couldn't keep the folder, but I've no idea why you'd want to? You cannot restore/install from it yourself, it's simply the 'roll back' feature. After 30 days, you can't 'roll back' anyway and must clean install.

The Windows.old file only impacts the ability to 'roll back'. If you wanted to re-install Windows 7/8.1 at a later date, you can. I have done this. Prior Windows 7 licenses will still activate (via the automated activation method) and 8.1 will recognize the hardware & activate.

Ahh awesome, thanks! Will it be okay if I copy the windows.old file and put it on another computer (and rename it) to keep it?
