Hey! I've been having a problem with network connections on my laptop. I've used three different networks and I still have problems, while other don't.
Some time ago, I've noticed that youtube videos load really slowly and play with interruptions. Moreover, google chrome, sometimes, while loading pages it stops and tells me to check my internet connection, then when I refresh it usually works, However, pages load really slowly.
On my teamspeak client I have problems as well: it tells me it can't connect and when it does, after a few seconds it disconnects; in the few time I am connected, friends told my they can't hear me properly, which didn't happen before (so yes, my friends can connect to the teamspeak server without a problem).
Finaly, when using steam it says, down in the download bar, "no connection", but it only lasts for a second at most, then it seems to be that fine.
I guess I should mention I am not a tech savvy and that I didn't mess around with network settings (IPs, protcols, DNS or whatnot).
Is there anything I could do?

Thank you!

I use Windows 10 on 64bits,
MSI GE60 2PE Apache Pro and I've got this under "network adapters" : http://picpaste.com/pics/CapturAe_-pZ7vzSSl.1463081463.PNG

Solution
Possibilities are:

- Driver problem, as thejackal85 says

- An antenna cable (or both) has popped off your wifi card. Does your laptop show weak signal strength in the icon in the lower right?

- Wifi card malfunction. About $20-$25 for a new card, and relatively easy fix. You have to take the bottom panel off of the laptop though (some laptops do give you access through the memory upgrade door).

- Malware which does a DNS redirect attack. Most malware scanners should pick this up though. Try setting your DNS manually to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google) and 208.67.222.222 (OpenDNS). Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Click your connection (usually Wifi SSID name) -> Properties -> scroll down to and highlight Internet...

Not from the beginning. Until a month or so ago everything went well. Didn't change anything and I've scanned for viruses, malware and such.

In that case, it sounds like it's either a network adapter issue or you have too many things utilizing the network resource or you have a virus that your scans did not find.

So, let's start from the beginning. Open Task Manager and click the "Startup" tab. Disable all the items in this list that do not need to be there (i.e. Adobe Reader, etc). If you are unsure, just leave it enabled. From there, restart and see if you have a change.

After that, check out the Event Viewer and look for any errors within its logs (specifically Windows Logs>System) when this happens.

Also, what program did you use for scanning for viruses?

Disablind startup programs didn't do anything.
In the System logs the latest is a warning saying "Name resolution for the name s.skimresources.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.". I've tried to see if there would be a log when teamspeak tells me I can't connect and there isn't any. Other logs are just "information"

I used Norton Security and Malwarebytes anti-malware

- Malware which redirects your Internet connection through a proxy. These can slip under malware scans because there are legitimate reasons for doing this (a VPN being the most common). So a scanner might not flag it as malware if the virus which changed those settings deleted itself. Do a Google search for "what's my ip" on the affected computer, and on a known good computer connected to the same wifi hotspot. It should return the same IP address on both computers.

Edit: skimresrouces.com is an advertising/tracking site. You probably have an extension or malware which is trying to force your browser to use it, coupled with an ad blocker which is blocking it. The result being your computer waits until the connection attempt times out. You can test this theory by temporarily disabling your ad blocker and see if things improve. If they do, you need to find the extension or malware which is forcing connection attempts to skimresources, and exterminate it.

Tried the DNS thing and didn't change anything. Tried to check the IP on another device: it's indeed the same. Guess it's the driver or the card.

I'll see what I can do with the driver and card!
Thank you dear sirs!

Update: switched for a wired connection and guess what, everything works perfectly!
