Hello everyone, this may be a dumb question..but seeing as i know pretty much NOTHING about PSUs:

I recently ordered a Seasonic G 550w off amazon and im having it shipped to New Zealand, where i live. I was wondering if i needed to get a converter or anything of the sort or can I plug the PSU into the wall outlet and run it straight out the box (and in my PC of course).

In other words, can I simply plug and play?

What VicentP said plus you will need an adaptor to convert the US plug to a NZ one, or if you have a spare jug cord lying around you can use that instead, or you can actually use pliers and bend the US legs to fit straight into the NZ socket (it's actually quite incredible that the US and NZ/AUS plugs are almost identical, only the angle is different).

Pure plug and play. Except that it fits in the wall socket :))
As far as the electronics go, no problems whatsoever.

If the PSU comes with a US power cord, pick up a power cord locally (less than $5).
Don't try bending pins on anything you will plug into the wall. I don't thing the US plugs have an earth pin either.

We have a ground.
