I wanted to upgrade my cooling to a custom water loop but I cant find any full waterblocks for the FTW edition. Should I sell it and buy a card that can or just throw the idea of watercooling out until I decide to build a whole new system?
I'd say until you upgrade your system, you'll be fine without a custom water loop.
Its a tough wait!
But you'll end up better off financially if you can wait until you upgrade to a 10 series card, and grab a water block for that.
At this point selling your 980ti to buy another one will most likely result in a loss of money and a decrease in performance.
sell it and wait for the 10 series from nvidia to drop
There would be literally no reason to sell a 980ti for a 1080, a card which we have no benchmarks or real stats for yet just because someone cant find a block for his card. Just giving my $0.02 here, keep it until you build a whole new system, a few months down the line we should be seeing more 1000 series cards and quite possibly polaris gpu's. However, with that being said, if you are ok with losing about $100 980ti's are selling on ebay for 500ish, most are quite lower. I just bought a second 980 ti hybrid to throw in my rig for $482, but the choice is yours.

Polaris specs were leaked, suggesting that they have a GPU that will at the least MATCH a 980ti, while only running for $300. Just something worth mentioning. Remember, it was a leak, it's not confirmed by AMD.
