Will a PCIe x1 Wireless Adapter work with PCIe x1 connector from power supply?

I don't have a PCIe slot on my motherboard but i have 2 from my power supply, will my new Wireless adapter work if i connect it to the PCIe from the power supply?

PCIe x1 is a slot on the motherboard. Not a cable from the PSU. You may be confusing it with the PCIe 6-pin connector from the PSU.
