Are CPU heat-sinks all the same size?

I was going to eventually get the i5 4690k CPU in exchange of the AMD A10 7800 Kaveri CPU and I currently still have the stock heatsink and I was wondering if I could get any heatsink and if it would be the same size.
I was thinking about getting the "Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler" and I was curious if this would be ok to use on my PC.

The Intel out performs the FX-8350. If you're having to buy it outright, the FX-8350 will be cheaper by about $80, so its a better budget build but the Intel will beat it out on pure power. As for the cooler, the Cooler Master Evo and the Cryorig I mentioned would fit on either one of them.

Assuming you are getting a full i5-4690k package, it'll come with a heatsink. However if it doesn't, or you want to get a 3rd party cooler for overclocking or just better cooling and less noise, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo will work with both the Intel and your current AMD chip. Tho you will want to make sure your current case can fit the height of the cooler. If you wanted to go with something better for only a little bit more, the Cryorig H7 cools better and is a smaller design so it doesn't overhang RAM slots and is shorter so it fits in slightly smaller cases than the Evo.

Also you are aware that you will need a different motherboard for the Intel cpu than the one you currently have right?

Yes I was aware that I would need a different motherboard. But for the price wise would this be a decent CPU for gaming. And if I bought the heatsink bundle would the heatsink cool ok?
