You guys should be really careful advising that an H81 board can take any LGA1150 processor. Some boards will not boot if given a Haswell Refresh chip, which is what OP is asking, without a BIOS update.

In fact, even that PCPartPicker link is giving a warning about the same problem at the bottom:
"Some Intel H81 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Haswell Refresh CPUs."
I will, however, agree with the sentiment that if you're going for the 4790K, don't skimp out on the mobo. Get a Z97 (and possibly an aftermarket cooler) and reap the benefits of an unlocked cpu
