So I bought this $60 mouse pad (Razer firefly) which I very like but the problem is that it only works when my computer is on. I use ASUS G751JT (Notebook) windows 8.1 64-bit.When the lid is closed the mouse pad also closes. I googled and saw that people were suggesting USB wake support and some device manager steps. I followed it but still it won't turn on. I also tried the bios thing but in my computer there is no option in bios that says USB wake support. I've seen it in other computers but not in mine. So is there any way to keep my firefly on and get that cool chroma lighting effect. It uses a USB port. HELP!!

Solution
Since you are using a notebook you probably cant.
Laptops and mobile devices typically disable power to their external ports when closed (they are on a battery after all).
Most ports on desktop motherboards have powered ports even after systems are shut down (My Razer Deathadder still pulsed when the computer was off).
