I was just wondering and sorry if I sound noobish but why does my motherboard have two lan ports on the back? I can't find a good understandable answer for me... .-.
Like why would you use two at the same time?
Thank you for answering.
Both of them are used in those scenarios :
1. Fail over solution. If one of them fail the second one will keep the system alive and working.
2. Teaming. In theory you can configure them to increase bandwidth potential (but you really dont need it for home use)
3. Piggyback. You can create access point for another device.

Multiple lan ports can be used for:
1. Redundancy (if lightning kills one of your ports, you may still have one left)
2. Link aggregation (may not be possible with your motherboard)
3. Possibility to make router or switch out of your PC.
