Dark rock pro 3 cooler, help with installation?

Hey. I just bought this Dark Rock Pro 3 cooler from be quiet! At the moment Im installing the backplate but I have a question. Theres a thin "plastic" on the backplate which I dont know whether I should remove it or not. It doesnt feel like the cheap thin sticker you peel off that they usually use for protecting surfaces, but its more of a thin plexi glass. Im not sure whats the purpose of it, so thats why Im asking you. (except the possibility of being electrical current insulator) Here's the link to the pic:

I don't think you should remove the plastic. The back-plate could potentially cause electrical issues, so insulation is a good thing. On the other hand, the back plate has no role on heat conductivity, so insulation is not an issue from that aspect.

Does it seem to affect the spacing significantly? If it affects your ability to tighten the heatsink on the processor, then that may be indicative that you should remove it.

In general, plastic or protective covers that should be removed are clearly marked and/or easy to remove. Those that are not, are not.
