Hello everyone!

I was looking to build the best possible gaming PC I can for under £1000, this is a list of the components I have selected at the moment but I want to know what things I should change out for better performance on games like H1Z1, GTA, CSGO, Battlefield and Call of Duty, preferably I would like to stick to an NVIDIA graphics card but would change this if you have good reason for me to do so, and have a build that is overclockable! Also I would be grateful if you could give me a recommendation of a monitor to use for around £150, that has low input lag and would be able to support dual monitor with this graphics card and preferably 1440p and 24 Inch, thanks!

COMPONENTS:
Intel I7 6700K Processor
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler
MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB OC Edition
MSI B150A Gaming Pro Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB DDR-4 - 2133 RAM
Samsung 120gb SSD
Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
Sharkoon T28 ATX Mid tower Case
Fractal Design Tesla R2 500W 80+ Gold Certified PSU
CoolerMaster CM Storm Devastator Mouse and Keyboard

Well, even without overclocking, the K version will be about 10% better than the non-K, though it's unlikely to make any difference in gaming with a moderate GPU. I would go with the i5 6500, omit the 212 EVO, and put the savings towards the PSU, GPU, or something else. The GTX 970 may continue to drop in price, but I would take a look at the GTX 1070 when it comes out, though it will be out of budget at about 575 £.

I don't know a lot about the monitors, but you may want to research these:

I think the 1440 monitors are out of budget.

This EVGA 550 G2 is an excellent PSU for the same price...

There is no reason to get a 6700k with that motherboard. Save yourself a lot of money and get the regular 6700 instead, or an i5 6600, 6500, etc...

Or get a Z170 motherboard if you want to overclock, but I don't recommend bothering.

I would also get a better psu.

I haven't seen any 1440 monitors that are 24 inch. They usually start around 27 inch. 27 inch 1440 monitor is definitely out of your price range. If you want a really decent 24 flat panel monitor, you may want to check out an IIyama ProLite GB2488HSU-B1. It has 144hz refresh and 1ms response time. But it is 1080P and not 1440.

The problem with those monitors is their refresh rates. Stick with 144hz or higher if possible.

As for monitors, there is quite a selective line of Amazon around the $100 mark

-Is the monitor I use for my setup. As for your cpu, An unclocked K version of the 6th gen i7 is not going to be to noticeably different in gaming for the price tag. Personally I think it is a smarter choice like Bearmann said to buy the unclocked version perhaps and buy . . . the gtx 980 sli which is considerably better than the 970. My friends who owns the 970 is going to buy the 980 sli once the 1080 release to the public.

There seems to be a lot of debate regarding that, i.e. IPS versus higher refresh rate.
