Can a gigabyte gtx 720 work on a asus P5vd2-vm mobo?

I got a gigabyte gtx 720 for my asus p5vd2-vm but when i installed the card the screen stays black, everything else goes on.

Should work fine, did you make sure the power supply can run the card? Do you have the video cable on the video card? If yes to both, remove the card, go into the BIOS and manually set the display options to the add-on card from integrated. It may be listed at PEG for the card. Shut down, install the card and see if that works.
