hi all i was wondering if this is correct. im just put together a asus rog maximus viii hero alpha with a i7-6700k. I did not put a Fan on the CPU just yet i just wanted to see what my Bios would look like. but when i got into my bios it said my CPU temp was 88-89C. is this a correct reading? i did turn it off just incase

yeah it is throttling to save itself from frying get a heatsink on it fast. it could have cooked it self, but it appears your are saved for now.
