Bad RAM making computer crash

Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to fix defective RAM. I tried taking one out and it'd still crash and I did this with both. I have two sticks of 8 GB of ram and my computer has all the symptoms for them being bad. I also cleaned them and they still make my computer crash a lot and corrupt data. Also, I'm experiencing some difficulty installing certain programs, and some of my stuff has corrupted data, the computer shuts off with no blue screen, and it has been running a little bit slower than usual.

Since someone asked, here's my system specs:
Microsoft Windows 10
Nvidia GTX 770
16 gb of ram
Intel Core i7 4790k CPU @ 4.00GHz

If you think the ram is defective, I'd just buy some more. Ram is inexpensive, and you can find some great deals on newegg.com and at local hardware retailers!

The make and full model numbers of your motherboard, RAM and PSU. What OS are you running? Did both stick of RAM get purchased together?

Most simple check is take 1 stick out see if same issue occurs if it does replace it with the other one and check again and you should have an answer what stick is broken and if any of them cause issues. and you have 16gb of ram you can easily run anything on 8GB if one stick is broken.

I've tried that on both of them, my computer still acts weird and crashes the same, sometimes a little less depending on which one.

Ok probably safe to say ram is OK then when computer shuts down it just shuts down for no reason and immediately right no BSOD ?? might be your power supply( would explain corrupted files because random power cut to hdd could corrupt files if it was actively writing) if so if not start taking things out such as video card and see if issue occurs on integrated graphics. also if you already have corrupted files you might need to reinstall windows.

I did a memory diagnostic and Windows said it was my memory, but I've also checked on my power supply and it seems to be in good shape.

Ok iv never encountered 2 memory sticks broken at the same time but if actual diagnostic says so then you need to RMA your memory sticks they usually all have lifetime warranty. but it just powering off is suspicious as usually you would get a BSOD if its memory issue and not a total power loss. How did you check that your PSU is fine ??

I had someone I know who works on computer check out the power supply not too long ago, and I'm going to either replace the power supply or buy some new RAM.

PSUs can be hard to diagnose best check is to just use a different one and see if same issues are encountered.
as far as RAM like i said they are all lifetime warranty no need to spend $
And if you are buying PSU make sure you get a quality one it is very important such as evga g2 series.
