Solution
Make a disk image backup of the drive as soon as possible.
Chkdsk won't run those parameters on the boot drive. It can't repair. Just run with the F parameter and it will ask if you want to schedule it on the next boot.

The fact that C: drive is asking you to format it doesn't sound right. Might be a virus trying to trick you into doing that. Update your virus pgm and its latest signature updates, then run a full virus scan on the system.
Follow that with a Malwarebytes scan for malware.
