So just got a new pc and have an Intel skylake i3 6100 on a asus h110-a motherboard with ddr4 ram. I have windows 10 installed and have noticed that the temperatures in HWmonitor say about 50 degrees underload but when i go into the Asus suite 3 it says it's around 40. It Idles around 25. Which temperature is correct? My instinct is to trust the asus suite 3 as it came with the motherboard.

Personally I think HWmonitor core temps are the best, if you run Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool it matches with them. The Asus temp is pretty useless IMO.

Different temperature sensors, HWmonitor does CPU cores, Asus MB does another CPU sensor. I adjusted my fans 10 degrees C lower in the bios as the CPU will shut down when the cores reach 100C, it doesn't care about the Asus temp.
