So you've tried to repartition an SD card while it had data on it? IF this is the case and you are unable to access the files, you'd have to give it a try with data recovery software. Check out those links for some suggestions, which might prove useful: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-1644496/lost-data-recovery.html & http://pcsupport.about.com/od/filerecovery/tp/free-file-recovery-programs.htm. Hopefully you are able to get your files.
And a piece of advice - you should never, ever, ever keep important data on a flash drive or an SD card without having it backed up at a different location as well. Flash drives and SD cards and not the most reliable devices for storing important information.
