Hi, I want to get a gaming PC which I have been constructing on PCSpecialist as I don't want to build one myself/don't know how. I have been googling reviews on each part etc and feel like I have an okay build for a decent gaming PC. Bearing in mind this isn't to play really powerful games but games that require the usual decent specs.

Here it is:
CPU: AMD FX 8350 Eight Core CPU (4 physical, 4 Logical)

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0

Memory: 8GB Kingston Dual-DDR3 1600MHz

Graphics Card: 4GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 960

Hard Disk: 500Gb SATA-III

Power Supply: Corsair 450w VS Series

Processor Cooling: PCS FrostFlow 120 Series High Performance liquid cooler.

Extra Case Fans: 1x120mm black case fan for top

Monitor: ASUS VE247H 24"

Keyboard and Mouse: CM Storm Devastator keyboard and mouse

I was just wondering whether there is anything major that doesn't look right to one of you most experience people on here as I've just been looking at reviews and guides really.

Solution
I would get an intel cpu, and yes I have the fx8350 but I also have the 4690k. The I5 is like the Guy who is great at sports school gets the girl.

OK WAIT! First things first I STRONGLY RECOMMEND GETTING AN INTEL CPU!!! Heres why, from personal experience (see my build down below) the FX8350 is good... But!!! For things that take heavy CPU loads it just cant cut it. As much as 8Threads sounds nice, its nowhere near as good as say something like a i5-4690k or even a i5-6600k. These days you can make a really nice cheapish (sometimes even cheaper than an AMD platform) Z97 build.

MOBO is good (Stick with ASUS their really good, even at the low end!)

If you can get 16gb, not essential but always nice to have when you need, say Chrome a game or two and another application open at once.

Very good choice on GPU the 4GB VRAM is very nice for games like Skyrim and modded games that have many textures.

Get an SSD you can get em for like $58 AUD (#Straya!) 120GB is good 250 or 500GB is even better for games. SSDs help out ALOT!

I see your on a tight budget but id denifantely say to get a 1TB HDD. Something like a WD Blue would do really good! And its 68 AUD

OK PSU i reccomend getting a Gold rated one if you can.

Nice monitor and case fans.

Good choice of keyboard/mouse combo ;)

Hope this helps!

EDIT: Just made this as a suggestion! Hope this points you in the right direction. If you really want that CPU, go for it. Consider this first http://pcpartpicker.com/p/X69PmG

Seems fine to me but...you can consider going a better graphic card for a little extra money and a bit better psu to keep it up thinking at R9 290X or gtx 970 which are way better and not much expensive over the 960
