I have a mini atx tower( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119274&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Cases+%28Computer+Cases+-+ATX+Form%29-_-N82E16811119274&gclid=CjwKEAjwmdu5BRCg1O3a-tDY0AQSJACKPgRKAD_YMwJxaLQqmwGtV0RmRHKDIZHCv8EDkrNo0REdzhoCOyjw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds ) and I was wondering what the best mother board and cpu combo would be. My criteria is to try and keep it cheap, intel, and enough power to not bottle neck my gtx 960. Thank you for your help.

i3 6100 is great paired with a GTX 960. You might benefit from a faster chip in some cases, but the i3 will get the job done.

Here's a breakdown of what the various Intel chipsets allow:

H110 = basic boards
H170 = feature rich, no overclocking
Z170 = feature rich, can overclock "K" CPUs

I wouldn't be above getting a i 5 for its price at the moment and I would like to get a decent motherboard that can support up to two fans.

I did some research on it and the H170 is what I am looking at. Thank you.
