I've had no problem for over a year but few days ago, my desktop got stuck on ASUS UEFI BIOS Utility every time I start up the PC.

Restarting won't help.

Replugging HDD won't help.

Switching Ram won't help.

Tried everything I could do that I found online but none worked so far.

I'd appreciate any help I can get.

I thought HDD failure was the cause but on the boot priority, it shows both my SSD and HDD, which got me guessing that they're both working alright.

Solution
make sure all cards and ram are seated. if a card goes bad it lock up the mb. try pulling the gpu see if it posts from onboard fine.
pull the gpu if it still locks up see if you have after market cards installed. if not make sure unplug all the usb devices execpt mouse and keyboard then unplug one of them at a time. if the mb still locks up see if it has the usb flashback port and rerlash the bios. need a usb stick and the bios file renamed for the mb.

I have some experience with this issue and have had it before. It seems as though its something you have to deal with. Im not sure why its coming up when your PC start however. I recommend resetting the CMOS, you can do this by pressing the reset button on your case or MOBO (if that model has one).

Hi

Not Clear if you reset cmos (using jumper) then loading bios defaults

if that fails

boot up with HDD & SSD & DVD Drive SATA data cables disconnected

If it then boots up and says no boot device the problem is one of those devices.

Use a bootable USB memory stick with memtest86 to test ram
from http://www.memtest86.com/

then re connect drives one at a time

this week I was looking at a laptop which had been dropped
It went to BIOS start screen then rebooted
the HDD was dead and replacing it enabled laptop to start normally
I am re-installing Windows and many updates now

Tried resetting CMOS but no change.

SSD and HDD also seems to be working fine.

My BIOS screen shows dram information, SSD, HDD as well which I'm guessing means they're all working fine.

If they were bad, then I'm guessing it's not suppose to show up on the BIOS screen?
