I just got the Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition VN7-591G-70RT and I downloaded HWMonitor to check my temps and it has my CPU up to 70C for max values while just browsing(usually stays around 55C though), and up to 98C while gaming(Skyrim was the game I was using). How bad are these temps? I don't think skyrim should be pushing the laptop too hard. I'm still under a 30 day return warranty and unless there's some sort of solution to this that may be my only option. This is brand new so does that mean there's wrong with the laptop? Thanks in advance.

no nothing wrong with laptop. get a laptop cooling pad for it though. laptops run hotter than desktops and its thermal design is higher. that is quite high because skyrim is a cpu intensive game. you want a cooling pad to cool it down because you're gaming.
and be aware that open hardware monitor and HWiNFo is better. HWMonitor is not accurate sometimes, but I doubt the temps are wrong here,.

Do you have any cooling pads you recommend? How much of a difference do they usually make? And what temps should raise a red flag? Because the only CPU temp guide I could find was this: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1800828/intel-temperature-guide.html and it labels 80C as hot. If not immediate damage, will these temps shorten my laptops life span?
