Here's the computer: http://www.dell.com/us/p/xps-8700/pd

Here's the GPU I am looking forward to buy: http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GAMING-GTX-970-100ME/dp/B00TPLKR7Q?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=nav_timeline_asin

*Some* questions:

-Will it fit?
-Does it have enough power to support it? Will I have problems if I don't?
-Anything I should be aware of when installing the GPU?
-I am planning on getting a new computer after some time. I will use the same GPU when I get it. Will I have to change any configurations or something after I move my GPU to my new pc?

Please, only answer if you know what you are talking about. I don't want to buy a GPU and not be able to use it.

Solution
Fit is a maybe, measure space around the PCIe slot not blocked by fans/case, compare to specs on the card. Case is good size but not easy to see if it will fit by eyballing it, and that is a longish card.

Power, wattage is enough, it needs a 6 pin and an 8 pin PCIe power plugs, does the power supply have those? If not, most cards come with an adapter but lack of those on the power supply could mean it would not be very stable.

Before you install it, read the instructions, same as with anything.

Not sure what you mean by changing configurations when you get a new computer, it's a new computer with a new setup, nothing to change. The XPS is a decent system, you may not need to replace it within the lifetime of the video card.
