i've been thinking to buy CPU or MOBO but i'm still wondering if my CPU or MOBO is dead. my pc still runs to bios, information about my cpu is still there in bios. it just wont go through after video card display then black screen. someone help me?

emaxxx mcp61d3-icafe, mobo
geforce 9800 gt, GPU
amd athlon x640 3ghz
a pair of 2gb ddr3 gskill , ram
rapter II 500, PSU

Solution
Your gpu could be the problem. Or the VGA/DVI/HDMI cord. Try replacing that and see if the black screen shows again. You should also try replacing the Mobo and testing it out if the gpu replacement doesn't work. Return/RMA any GPU replacements or Mobo replacements you may get if they don't work to get your money back, keep the receipts
