I have a Dell Studio XPS 7100 (2009) AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Processor when I bought it 8GB of ram was the max I could get, there are 4 slots currently equiped with 2GB(1X2GB)1333MHZ PC3-10600 240-PIN DDR3 NONECC UNBUFFERED SDRAM DIMM
I have been monitoring my usage and I am in the high 60% range when running just a few programs. I mainly use graphic editing and drawing software but I use a few programs at the same time. I don't play games on my PC much my GPU is a cheapie NVIDIA GeForce GT 610.
Do I need more RAM? What are the benefits if any? I looked on the Crucial site and thought this might work for me Crucial 4GB DDR3-1600 UDIMM (CT3725433) DDR3 PC3-12800 • CL=11 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1600 • 1.5V • 512Meg x 64
If I do upgrade should I replace all 4 sticks and go to my max of 16GB? What are you thoughts?
Thanks Deb_55
