When will Asus release a bios that supports Broadwell-EP for the Sabertooth X99

So I bought a E5-2630 V4 and after looking at other boards and seeing that they had bios's supporting the E5 V4 cpus I assumed that all the other manufacturers were doing the same (especially asus). I suddenly got enough money to buy a nice board so I bought the Sabertooth X99 thinking it would work (i messed up :fou: ). I kinda don't wanna return this so does anyone know if or when is Asus going to release a bios that supports the new Broadwell-EP processers? Thanks in advanced! :D

If I were in your place, I'd Install the latest BIOS and plug-in the E5-2630 V4 and see if it is getting recognized or not, since intel has already specified the Broadwell-EP CPUs are fully compatible with the X99 chipset..

PCPartpicker.com also says, "Some Intel X99 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Broadwell-EP CPUs."

Opening a support ticket with ASUS would probably be a good idea..

I can boot into the bios then into windows but that is only when I plug in my phone and go to the TUF detective app and press patch error. I called Asus and they would just say it's not on the supported list, but as you said intel already specified it to be working. I think I'll just have to wait and see if they do release a new bios as I am currently on bios 3101 (the latest one as of 5/15/16).

It really helps to light a fire under the cauldron.. Many OEMs -- ASUS included don't raise a finger until and unless they absolutely have to,, So opening a support ticket with ASUS to remind that there is a BIOS update pending for the Sabertooth X99 is a good idea, IMO..
