I have the dell XPS 8700 and I wanted a new graphics card and power supply.

I bought the 500 watt evga power supply and the evga gforce 960 SC graphics card

The installation for the power supply and the graphics card seemed to go absolutely great and wasn't much of an issue at all so I don't belivery I damaged anything and I'm sure everything's plugged in correctly

But when I went to check and see if everything the worked the monitors stay in "sleep" mode and would not active. So I look back at everything and I notice the graphics cards fan is no longer moving. I shut off the computer and restart it and I see that the fan starts up for a bit and then just turns off at ranoon

Any help would be great

500 watts in a power supply might not be enough for your setup, so a power supply generator like this one: Click Here can find out the wattage of all the different parts in your computer and calculate the total amount of power you need.

First question: Do you have a motherboard speaker? If so, do you get any POST beeps?

Second question: Do you have the 8-pin power connected to the graphics card? On the 960, I think there is one or two of these. When you bought your graphics card, the box should have came with 1 or 2 8-pin to molex converters.

Well the speakers aren't in so I don't hear anything at all really besides the fans and everything else booting up
