Solution
When itistime to upgrade do not invest in your current platform. Buy a new motherboard + CPU. It will cost about the same and perform better.

Could you tell us what your budget is, what country you are buying parts, what you want to use PC (what games you want to play if any) for and list any parts you already have?

At the moment that is a very poor PC for the vast majority of games.

i would not recommend you to go with amd APU .
both processor and integrated graphics in it are weak .
you would do much better to pay a little extra and buy i3 6100 plus cheap h110 motherboard
(with ddr4 memory support)
and add dedicated graphics card later on if you want to do some gaming on your pc .
intel system is easily upgradable , you can throw in core i7 in the future even if you have cheap motherboard .
also don´t buy some cheap used power supply , it can damage the rest of your pc if something goes wrong .

It is a budget build, so do not expect much performance from this PC. It will play games at low/medium settings at 1080p, but will struggle at new games because it is only a dual core. The AMD fm2+ platform is a dead end, so there are no new CPU's coming out, though there are better CPU's available now such as the A8 or A10.

Do not buy dual core CPU's, more software makes good use of multi-core CPU's so any dual core is currently really only good for light computer use such as office, websurfing and simple webgames.

If budget is tight but you still want some upgrade options in the future your best bet is the intel skylake platform. A Skylake i3 has much better integrated graphics and good upgrade options.

Im just going to be doing light gaming and school projects. I didn't expect it to do anything special. All i wanted to do is play something like CS:GO with friends. If i were to upgrade this PC what should I do next? Should I buy a used GPU? What GPU can the APU handle?

Im buying from Canada and all I wanted to know is what should I upgrade next

for CS:GO i would say good processor is even more important than graphics card .
you will struggle to play cs:go on amd 7400K even if you add dedicated graphics card later on .
skylake i3 is the way to go really .

best thing to do would be to let us know what is your budget so we can list a complete build here for you .
