So I CLONED my HDD to my SSD, then I changed the boot order so that it was: SSD, HDD, Optical. in my Disk Management tab, however, it says that the HDD is: Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary partition; my SSD is: Primary partition. how do I fix it? please help! thanks :)

EDIT: Do i need to wipe the HDD? That could be interfering with it, but I'm not sure. I don't think i need anything that's on it, seeing that it's all on the SSD anyway.

Define "So I copied my HDD to my SSD"
How, exactly, did you do this?

Used EaseUs Todo. basically clones your drive and pastes it onto a new one, there are a ton of programs similar to it.

OK, just checking. You'd be surprised at what people try for this.
Apparently, you did not clone ALL the relevant partitions.

I'd suggest redoing it.

first of all, u cannot just copy a OS from one drive to another...it simply wont work unless u clone it...but thts never recommended...u shd always do a fresh installation...
secondly, ur system is still booting from the hdd...even if ssd is prime in boot order, ur system cannot find OS on ssd and hence skips to hdd...
wat u r seeing in disk management is correct and cannot be changed unless u reinstall the OS on ur ssd...

Are you sure that i don't just need to wipe the old drive? I can just re-do the clone, but just wanna make sure first.

Steps to success:

Redo the clone thing
When it is done, power off
Disconnect the old drive
Power up, and change the boot order if needed
Does it boot with the new drive?
If yes, good
If no, then something went wrong again.

The bold part above is crucial....

well, I did it. it wasn't able to boot at all with the SSD, even after going into the BIOS and changing the boot order. Anything else you'd recommend trying?

Well, something did not go right.
A clone operation, and where you clone ALL the relevant partitions...should work.

What error message does it give you with only the SSD connected?

Reboot and connect select proper boot device

and this is when only the ssd is connected???
if yes...then the cloning is not successful...
