Hello. Recently I've had a problem with my computer, and I'd like to get a correct diagnosis before I go out buying replacement parts. I'll post my specs below and then I'll describe the problem.
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258
GPU: EVGA GTX 750Ti SC
Mobo: MSI H81-M E34
RAM: 4GB Hyper X Fury 1866mHz
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM
PSU: Corsair CX 430
So basically, I bought GTA V on the cheap and was exited to play it. I began downloading it on my computer and decided to leave it on as I was at school. After I returned from school the computer had turned off, and on boot up I was displayed an error screen stating that essential boot files were missing, and needed to be reinstalled. Angered, I reinstalled Windows onto a USB drive and plugged it into the computer. The screen froze on the motherboard boot up screen, and after a few seconds the windows loading icon appeared, which spun for a bit before the computer crashed. Attempting to boot the drive from the BIOS lead to the same thing. I called Microsoft support and they told me that it was an error with my hardware, and not Windows. I'm assuming it was a hard disk error, but I'd like to be 100% certain before purchasing a replacement. Assistance is much appreciated, and I apologise if there is a problem with the layout as I have typed this from my mobile phone. Thanks in advance.
