Okay, this is embarrassing.
I created a recovery partition just the size required for the recovery image. After saving the recovery image, the partition has just 50MB free. I don't mind this, as I'll never write anything to this partition, and I won't access anything from here on a regular basis. This is a "worst case" thing, sort of like the "Recovery Partition" created by laptop OEMs, just in case Windows breaks completely I can use this image to recover and don't have to re-install the drivers (as these are included in the image).

Windows 8.1 constantly complains about "Low disk space", and I want to disable this warning for good.

M trying to disable it using the registry editor, as mentioned in THIS page.
But the container is not present in my registry. If I go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\, there's nothing under here named \Policies

Here's a snap of my registry editor:

What's up with this?

Solution
Just hide the partition in disk manager? (Remove the drive letter)
I assume you are going to use this partition with a bootable media anyway so you don;t need to be seeing it in windows.
