Current Setup: HPxw6600
CPU: 2 Xeon E5420 (2.5GHz Quad Cores, 8 cores total)
RAM: 4GB DDR2
Storage: 2 SSD's and 1 HDD
Graphics card: GTX 950
I think that I have a CPU bottleneck because my performance is much less than any GTX 950 benchmarks I've seen. I want to either upgrade my CPU or just make a new build using my current GTX 950.
I'd prefer just upgrading my CPU and save money, but if i won't get much of an improvement because im stuck with LGA 771 CPUs I would rather just build a new system.
I've found a set of Xeon E5450's (3GHz quad core, 8 cores total) for about $40, would the .5GHz make a noticeable difference?
