Hello,

I inherited an old Intel Core i7-860 Quad 2.80GHz with 10GB RAM from my dad, and decided to get a new graphics card to try and use it for gaming. I went out and bought a MSI r7 370 4gb, and replaced the old AT Radeon 4600. Once I powered the pc back on, I heard two beeps, followed by the initial blue Powerspec screen, but the process freezes there. I am using a 500 watt power supply, so I don't think that is the issue, me and my friend were thinking that the Powerspec G157 motherboard just isn't compatible, but I'm not 100% sure.
All I want to do is play my games from steam in full screen at a playable speed, no super high def, nothing fancy. Can someone please help me find the most cost effective solution?

Thanks a million!

1| You've generically stated your system specs. With troubleshooting threads of this nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. On that note please state how your ram slots are populated to give you 10GB's of ram?
2| Please include your OS and the make and model of your PSU.
3| If you're unsure of the parts, you can shoot us a pic of the internals and we could work our way up from there.
