Hello, I bought a pc last year, and lately i'm thinking about Overclocking alot and i guess i need some help with this please.
My GPU is MSI GTX 970 4g
I'm thinking about overclocking my GPU now But i was not sure if i could do it but here is what i got to after trying many times, I did not actually play with voltage i was kinda afraid to burn my card, Please tell me what do you think about it?
I'm using MSI afterburner for this

These are the changes and i'm posting a photo aswell
Voltage I did not change
Power limit 110%
Temp. Limit i left 79
Core Clock (Mhz) +150
Memory Clock (Mhz) +200
Fan Speed = Auto

A controlled overclock will only result in a bump in performance and no risk in frying it.

It's not really even about high temperatures when it comes to overclocking, not sure where that's coming from. A high overclock can make the GPU malfunction, so just need to be careful with that. You can start seeing afterfacts at some point because the memory cooling for example can't handle it. Not because the GPU, as a whole, is overheating.

I had the MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G too. +150 Core is the highest you should go. You can go higher with memory but be careful. Can...

Thanks for the fast answer guys!

Hmm, I don't monitor always, But i was wondering does this mean if i get to 79 the Pc will shutdown or something?
What will i gain from increasing my Temp. Limit?

I'm honestly afraid of this, GPU's are expensive in my country and i am really not looking to burn my GPU, But i heard overclocking without increasing the Voltage is safe and it wont hurt, if i am thinking the wrong way please correct this, this is why i posted here in the first place :) and thanks again for the fast answers

I have the Antec 750W +80 on my pc which i guess its enough

I have another brand new one +80 too FPS Aurum Pro 850 I'm not using it yet and not willing to because my current Powersupply is doing good

Most likely your Antec is good. Depending on the model, most these days are Seasonic rebrands. Seasonic makes one of the best PSUs on the market right now.

I remember doing the same thing as you really. Just maximum power limit and +150, +450 on the card. No changes to voltage.

Great, then i will keep the +150 and get the memory to +300 and if everything is good i will try to go 450+
By the way does increasing memory make my tempreture higher? I live in a pretty hot city. I'm using my air condition right now to keep myself and my pc alive.
