I recently upgraded my computer to a evga z170 stinger it doesn't come with wifi but has an m.2 key e adapter I bought a Intel 7265NGW wifi adapter. It fits the key and plugs into the board with the provided adapter but the hardware is not detected it can't tell I have it plugged in to the board is the m.2 slot broken or is the Intel adapter doa any suggestions on possible fixes

Edit: was looking though bios and found the m.2 was disabled so I enabled it but still same situation it is now recognizing it is there but doesn't know what it is. I have tried installing drivers to no avail so suggestions

Edit2: I got the Bluetooth working but since I don't have any antenna witch is needed it doesn't work but that's fine I don't need the Bluetooth I'm still trying to get the wifi will update if I get it working

Solution
Have you downloaded and installed the drivers meant for your wireless card? What is this that you've mentioned that the card isn't connected to an antenna? It's highly probable that the lack of antenna's on your card aren't allowing you to take maximum advantage of your adapter.

Can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of your OS?
