Im really broke and even 10$ seems like a lot to me i have coolermaster tx3 in mind but i just want my stock cooler to live some more if possible...
Enable overheat protection in the BIOS if you can just to be safe. The TX3 is pretty loud at full speed. What case, CPU, RAM and Mobo do you use so we can recommend something?

It wont die don't worry. Like teh previous poster said go in the bios and enable both "cpu fan fail warning" and "cpu temperature warning". Set the latter to 80C.
Generally I would recommend a Hyper 212 EVO, but you could also look on ebay for a fan replacement as that might be cheaper(people sell them even new if they have an aftermarket cooler).
I didnt seem to find what ur talking about i only found cpu 1 target range temperature which was set to 70 well i guess i have to hope my stock cooler doesnt blow up one day...
Oh i found an option it was called thermal function or something it was enabled by default is that the one? i didnt seem to find any fan system option ;'(
