Hi everybody,
Soon I will have a great deal of time on my hands after I finish highschool and the Swiss Military boot camp (in about 5 months) and I'm planning to build my first PC. My budget is more or less 5000 Swiss francs (about 5000$).
I would like to have some remarks concerning my planned PC build (it will be my first build ever), specifically the parts list I've come up with.
So here is my parts list:

CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K 4Ghz (Is this good for gaming?)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3
Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VIII Hero
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x8GB (Is this enough?)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO Basic 1TB (or should I go with HDD?)
Video Card: MSI GT 980 Ti Gaming 6G (Is this a good graphics card?)
Power Supply: Corsair RM1000i 1000W (Is this to much wattage?)
Case: Corsair Vengeance C70 (Do all my parts fit inside this case?)
Optical Drive: ASUS BW-16D1HT/G
Wireless Network Card: ASUS PCE-AC68
Sound Card: ASUS Xonar Essence STX II
Monitor: ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q 34''
OS: Windows 10

I would be grateful for some remarks and possible improvements. I also welcome your general opinions about the list. Thank you all very much in advance :)

Solution
Looks good, might wait on the GPU, and see how the new upcoming 1080 and 1070 nVidia cards look. 16GB should be good on DRAM unless planning on heavy video work or the like ;)

Thanks for your reply.
Just a follow up question about the case: You wouldn't happen to know if all these parts fit in this specific case? Thanks for your reply in advance.
