On my netbook I am attempting to install windows XP. To do this I need to install a previous version of Windows. Windows versions before XP require ide but I have a sata hard drive. Is there a standalone XP installation iso? I can't use a disk because my netbook does not have an optical drive. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You can do this with a bootable usb drive or with an external dvd drive,even if you had a standalone disk,you would have issues,because pc s tend to use different hardware,so a bootable usb or an ext dvd is your option
