Hi guys,
I want to overclock my hyperX savage XMP 2133 MHZ C11 RAM from 1600MHZ to 1866. I am not sure if want to overclock my cpu first.
My rig config. is:
processor: AMD FX 8350 (Auto set to 4.0Ghz)
mobo: ASUS AMD M5A99FX PRO R2.0
ram: Kingston HyperX savage XMP 2133 C11 8GB (Auto Stable at 1600MHZ C9)
smps: Corsair VS650
graphics card: Zotac Geforce GTX 770AMP 2GB
liquid cooling for processor: Corsair h100i
cabinet: Circle CC830

I could not find stable timings for this ram at 1866. Can anyone please give me idea on this and also can guide me to overclock ram to 1866 ?

Solution
You need 2 sticks only for dual channel. As far as processor is concerned 1 stick is enough for 1866MHz. I'm doing that right now !! For 4 sticks MC would default to 1600MHz no matter which capacity.
My Ga-990fx + Kingston KHX1866C10D3/8G defaults at that speed plus I have it OCed to 1998 MHz.
P.S.
1866Mhz @15V, 1998 @1,52v.

I tried with d.o.p.c profile for 1866 as mentioned above but system fails to boot. Then try with d.o.p.c 1600 provided by kingstons as saved profile for XMP ram. It works first time later again I moved on to d.o.p.c 1866 again boot fails. Now I came back to d.o.p.c 1600 but this it also fails to boot. So now I set all ram settings to default/auto. Now its running at 1600 CL11 and stable.
I am sharing some pics here.
